Set Rules: lay down some ground rules that MUST be followed like no texting at dinner and only a certain number of hours on the computer a day. The first step in getting your kids back is teaching them boundaries.
Keep them Busy: The busier your kids are with other things like actual sports, reading, or music the less time they’ll have to sit in front of a screen. Try to get them to show interest in other activities and ask them to hang out with other friends who do, too.
Be Intentional: it’s fine to use technology as a family but be intentional about it. This means setting up family video game night or movie night and all being conscious to put your phones up at the same time. Every little thing you do is something your kids wlll notice and emulate.
